Jac’s sisters absolutely believe that ‘Llywarch’ IS Jim Perrin

The sixteen reviews which Llywarch has posted on Amazon seem to be, when he awarded only one star, of work by authors whom he disdains and, through jealousy, wishes to discredit.

Frequently vile (see the first he posted) more accurately these may be described not so much as reviews but as diatribes: unless, that is, he is reviewing books by those he continues to flatter and befriend — and perhaps for reflected glory.  It is noteworthy that these reviews can veer from gushing to hateful — and, in our opinion, be posted under other aliases — should he, in time, change his mind.

When Llywarch reviews books by his alter ego, Jim Perrin, he is unfailing in his admiration and in-depth literary analysis, and consistently extols the brilliance of his work … Continue reading

To review, or not to review, that is the question:

We have always copied onto our site any comments we have posted following reviews on ‘Amazon’  (or The Guardian ). This was a).  to achieve maximum coverage of the points we made, and b).  to ensure they were safe-guarded from Jim Perrin’s attempts to have them removed — moderated — which, on several occasions, he managed to do.

The comment which we now copy is one we posted on Amazon after the ‘Llywarch’ review (an alias since changed to ‘Tim Bartley’) 12/11/2013, of the book by Harriet Tuckey  (‘Everest, the first ascent:’)  which was this year awarded two prizes: ‘The Boardman Tasker Award for Mountaineering Literature’, and the ‘Jon Whyte Award for Mountain and Wilderness Literature’, Non-Fiction.

Why was the review posted? Did the reviewer hope, at that late stage, that his opinion could influence the outcome of the judging? — or, might it have been an error of judgment on his part…   We think it was very poor judgment. Continue reading

Jim Perrin admitted to violence towards a former wife: (plus extra details of his use of aliases…)

Jim Perrin’s dishonest account of his history with our sister included the breath-taking duplicity of his claim that she had been his ‘lover, wife and friend of forty years.’ As an example of this author’s shameless use of implication, this is a tour de force

His subsequent posturing on the The Guardian, post-publication of his book West, and the removal of several of our comments (we presumed at his instigation) finally led us to realize that the only way forward was to create our own site; one which was as informative as possible — and one in which the truth was told.

It was Jim Perrin, we absolutely believe, yclept ‘Melangell’, who posted on The Guardian thread further lies about Jac as well as offensive comments about her sisters and her family — it was a blatant attempt to discredit us and so obvious. These were in response to our stated disquiet and efforts to check him.  His comments are still there — indeed he regularly offers up an opinion under this alias.  To read them, and perhaps to understand why we have no doubt at all that it is Jim Perrin with whom we are dealing, they can be found on the thread following Sir Andrew Motion’s review of West — those concerning Jac’s sisters date from July, 2010.
